The Best Man should be your most trusted confidante.  He is your main guy that you go to for help in all those pesky problem solving situations (like the time you got tossed in the clink for indecent exposure in Tijuana).  In other words, he can keep a secret.  He must be able to come through in the clutch.  Take care of those little details with no questions asked. He needs to be your moral support through all those difficult moments.
